Third Birthday

For your little buckaroo the best idea for his or her third birthday party is a cowboy birthday party. Choose an invitation with a cowboy or horse theme and be sure to ask his or her little friends to wear their cowboy boots.What you need next are horses for horse rides. Check into your local stable and see if they will rent it out or look into renting a horse or two. Make sure that you will have some staff member representing the stable or the animal rental company present to help with the horse rides. Have rocking horses placed around for those little ones that do not want to ride the real horses.

For the games there are two ideas: a stick horse race and rope the cow. Get several stick horses at the dollar store and have a horse race. These can also go home with guests as party favors. Also, get a saw horse or something that you can make look like a cow and have the kids try roping the cow. Decorate with a cow print fabric or a bandana print fabric draped across the tables.

Food should be simple food that can be picked up and eaten between horse riding: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, fruit. Have galvanized buckets with box drinks, water and cokes in them. Your cake should also go along with the horse theme, so be sure to have a horse, some bandanas, cowboy boots and maybe even a barbed wire fence around it.
